Let’s Create Stories That Inspire!

Hey there, it’s Tanya!

I am a content creator, geoscientist, photographer, adventurer, mountaineer, nomad, and avid traveler with an immense desire to explore the world and share it with others.

My goal is to inspire more people to get out of their comfort zone and go after their dreams, and to achieve their outdoor, adventure and travel goals, by sharing tips and recommendations for new places to visit, weekend itineraries and also photography tips.

I am very excited to know that you are here because it means that you are willing to leave your comfort zone and venture into the unknown!

My story.

  • My passion for the outdoors and nature sparked during my university days as I studied Geophysical Engineering in the Faculty of Earth Sciences. This means that we went out on field trips, camping, hiking, and studying nature since my first semester. I haven’t stopped being outside since that day!

  • 2015 | Uk Master

After I graduated, I kept on using my weekends to go explore with my camera in hand and I have spent the past 5 years sharing my weekend adventures and travel tips with adventurers all around the globe. I like to show by example that having a formal 9-5 job is not an impediment to start working towards the direction of your dreams.

  • Some of my favorite adventures are trekking in the mountains of Peru, hiking very close to an active volcano in Guatemala, and taking a road trip through national parks in the United States.

Get to Know Me Better!

My passion for the outdoors and nature sparked during my university days as I studied Geophysical Engineering in the Faculty of Earth Sciences. This means that we went out on field trips, camping, hiking, and studying nature since my first semester. I haven’t stopped being outside since that day!

Some of my favorite adventures are trekking in the mountains of Peru, hiking very close to an active volcano in Guatemala, and taking a road trip through national parks in the United States.

When I am not traveling abroad, I spend most of my time in between Washington state and Mexico.

“I strongly believe that life is better shared.”

“I truly believe that there is always a way to make your wildest dreams come true and I enjoy finding creative ways to achieve them!”

Two years ago, I decided to leave everything and embark into a new life adventure by moving to the US for a remote job.

I quit my job as an exploration geoscientist to start my life again in the US. My current job allows me the life-work balance I need to be able to combine my passion for travel and photography and to keep on exploring the beautiful world we live in.

I am in love with learning and getting to experience different cultures.

Thanks to several scholarships, I had the opportunity to study in Canada during the winter semester as part of my BSc in Geophysical Engineering. I also lived a year in Europe as I studied my MSc in Petroleum Exploration Geoscience from the University of Manchester and I got to explore Costa Rica as part of my graduate specialization in Energy Management.

I have had the chance to experience living as a local in more than 7 cities in WA state.

I have been doing housesitting for the past 16 months in Washington state, taking care of the most wonderful pets while looking for the best place to relocate and the city I’d love to call home.
